Ir. Dr. Mohd Azman Abas, Director of Automotive Development Centre (ADC), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM)


Ir. Dr. Mohd Azman Abas is the Director of the Automotive Development Centre (ADC) at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). His journey in automotive engineering began humbly as a mechanic, fuelling his passion to pursue his degrees in Automotive Engineering before his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering. Before UTM, he spent over a decade as a Powertrain Lead Development Engineer at a car manufacturer, where he played a role in developing various passenger car projects in collaboration with global automotive giants. Beyond research, he actively shares his expertise with industries and government agencies, offering insights into R&D, Transport, Mobility, Technology, and Innovation.

Mr Tay Wee Huat, Managing Director, Intelligence Traceability Sdn Bhd


Mr Tay Wee Huat is Managing Director of Intelligence Tracebility Sdn Bhd. He is also Secretary General of the Federation of Malaysia Chinese Commerce Association (FEMACCA), President of Malaysia Association of Food Safety and Traceability (MAFSAT) and President of Malaysia Association of Product and System Certification (MAPASC). 

Ir Dr Rifqi Irzuan Abdul Jalal, Associate Professor, Taylor’s University


Ir Dr Rifqi Irzuan Abdul Jalal has over 16 years of experience in the automotive industry, starting at Proton and earning a PhD from Loughborough University. Since 2017, he has focused on New Energy vehicles, including biodiesel, electric and fuel cell vehicles. He played a significant role in developing the Perodua EV Prototype in 2024 and has led various EV projects from bicycles to double deck buses. A passionate advocate for electric vehicles, he also developed a course on EV conversion, emphasizing their potential to reduce pollution and achieve net zero emissions.

Mr Foo, OEM Technology Manager, Valvoline


Mr Foo is Valvoline OEM Technology Manager for 11 years who specializes in lubricants and coolants application. Previously, he was a certified Technical Instructor in Caterpillar Asia for over 13 years specialized in technical training for Caterpillar engines, construction and mining machines; and engine components failure analysis. With his extensive experience and strong technical background, he regularly conducts seminar on the importance and proper use of premium lubricants and coolants for best performance and provides consultancy to streamline customers’ lubricants need and recommends solution to reduce their Total Operating Cost.

Mr Loo Yong Hui, Group Chief Executive Officer, Swift Haulage Berhad


Mr Loo Yong Hui was appointed as the Director in 2014 and promoted as the Group Chief Executive Officer of Swift Haulage Berhad on 1 May 2021.

He began his career as a Fund Analyst in 2011 at ECM Libra Financial Group Berhad. He then joined Swift Haulage Berhad in 2013 as the Corporate Planner, and in 2014, he assumed charge of the container haulage division for the Central Region. As the Group Executive Director in 2019, he oversaw various divisions, including the Group Corporate Planning, Group IT, container depot, cross-border transportation, and container haulage divisions for the Central and Northern regions.

He is also the Director of the subsidiary companies, associated companies, and joint venture companies within Swift Group.

He holds a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom.

Mr Julian Kellermann, MD, Tiramizoo Sdn. Bhd. (Malaysia) and Tiramizoo Singapore Pte Ltd.


Julian joined Tiramizoo in 2014; today he is Vice President responsible for business development and he is MD of Tiramizoo Sdn. Bhd. (Malaysia) and Tiramizoo Singapore Pte Ltd.

Prior to joining Tiramizoo Julian was with RWE, a German utility.

Julian holds a MBA from European Business School, Oestrich-Winkel/ Germany.

Mr Franklin Kurniawan, CEO, Opex Consulting Group


Franklin Kurniawan holds a Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology and National University of Singapore respectively.

He is trained as Six Sigma Black Belt and practicing Lean Six Sigma since 2000.

Based in Singapore since 2006, Franklin held leadership positions in various MNC’s including Quantum, Panasonic, PerkinElmer, Siemens, and Dyson and has worked in Indonesia, the Philippines and Singapore.

Franklin is the Co-founder and CEO of Opex Consulting Group ( OpexCG operates in Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia providing end-to-end Digital Transformation services and solutions to various manufacturing verticals in APAC.

Dr. Susanne Lehmann, Managing Director, Volkswagen Group Malaysia Sdn Bhd.


With effect of December 1st 2023, Dr. Susanne Lehmann was appointed as Managing Director for Volkswagen Group Malaysia Sdn Bhd.

After studying economic sciences at Universität Paderborn, Germany, and Universidad de Sevilla, Spain, she finished her PhD on Automotive Global Supply Chains in July 2002.

In Nov. 1996, she started her professional career in Logistics Planning at Volkswagen de México, assuming her first management role in Logistics Planning at Shanghai Volkswagen in July 2004. After Leading Positions at Gläserne Manufaktur Dresden and during the ramp up of US plant Chattanooga, in October 2010 she assumed responsibility for Pre-Series and Technical Change Management at VW Commercial Vehicles for the factories in Germany, Argentina and Poland. Her next step took her to VW Group Production in Oct. 2016, where she was responsible for the definition and alignment of product concepts between all VW Group Brands. From February 2019 until September 2021 she was the Senior Director of Production for the North American Region within the Volkswagen Brand. In October 1st 2021, she was appointed Executive Director of Logistics of SVW in Shanghai, PR China, for Inbound, Inhouse and Outbound for approx. 1.6 Mio. Cars p.a. in ten factories, managing 1,236 employees and a Budget of approx. 762 Mio. EUR.

Mr Lim Mun Chun, Channel Manager, Materialise


Mr Lim Mun Chun is the Channel Manager for Materialise, a leading company that is focused on Additive Manufacturing/3D Printing globally. He now leads the Southeast Asia, Australia & New Zealand region with focuses on overall strategy for business development, foster client relationships and also channel partners management in the region. He started off his career as a Project Engineer and developed an interest in Additive Manufacturing with a view that the technology will revolutionize how things are made in the future. For the past 10 years in the additive manufacturing industry, he has developed vast experience in the overall additive manufacturing industry in Asia Pacific including market trend, hardware and also software.

Prior to his appointment at Materialise, He worked as a Senior Market Analyst in IDC Market Research firm. He is responsible for building data and analyzing trends for additive manufacturing in Asia/Pacific by working closely with analysts across the region and engaging with stakeholders in the market. He is now leveraging knowledge and experience gained on the market and helps organizations to optimize their AM through software solutions and consultancy in Materialise. He has also regularly been invited as a speaker in various events to promote awareness of additive manufacturing.

Technologist (Ts) Siti Maisarah Mohd Pisal is currently the Senior Manager at Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and Internet of Things (IoT) Institute (MARii), under the Aftermarket Sustainability (AMS) Department.

She has had over a decade of experience in the Automotive Industry with both national and international engagements, specializing in the automotive aftermarket industry. Ts. Siti Maisarah is well-versed in the automotive policy, regulations, current and future development in local and international automotive industry.

She acquired her master’s degree of Engineering Management at the University of Putra Malaysia (UPM) and also experience in working with Electric and Electronic industry.

Her expertise has been contributed into the implementation and facilitation of policies such as Chairman for Malaysian Standard (MS) Development, panel developer of the National Occupancy Skills Standard (NOSS) and also involving in the national policy, blueprint and guideline.

Currently Ts. Siti Maisarah responsibilities include initiating collaboration with industry, Government agencies, TVET institutions, and other stakeholders to support the National Automotive Policy (NAP) 2020 objectives. Her responsibilities also include research and development for aftermarket solutions, standard developments and continuously seek best practices from around the world to propel the Malaysian automotive aftermarket forward.

Mr Maksim Sonnykh, Factory Automation department head, Bosch Rexroth Malaysia


Mr Maksim Sonnykh is a professional in B2B sphere with strong management and engineering background. He began his career in Russia in the application area of micro precision servo drives and motion control systems. After joining Bosch Rexroth organization in 2011 as a national key account manager was responsible for business development with international and local automotive customers in Russia. From 2014 took his first managerial role of a group head with the responsibility for machine tools and automotive business within the country organization of Bosch Rexroth. Since 2015 he was promoted to the position of Factory Automation and Digitalization department head where took a responsibility for a distributed sales, engineering and service team in Russia with a special focus on I4.0 business initiatives.

From June 2021 he took over the position of Factory Automation department head in Malaysia where currently holds the responsibility of driving the factory automation and digitalization business of Bosch in the country.

Maksim has an engineering background in industrial automation and control, holds PhD in Robotics and Mechatronics and an MBA degree.

Mr Aditya Kumar Tiwari, Group Lead HV Battery System, VinFast Auto Ltd


Currently serves as the Group Lead HV Battery System at VinFast Auto Ltd Vietnam developing electric SUV carline High Voltage Battery System. He Has over 10 years of experience in electrification including HV Powertrain & Battery System and has been in varying levels of engineering leadership roles since 2014.  Has rich experience of working in multi-cultural teams and worked in Mahindra Research Valley Chennai India & Volvo AB Goteborg Sweden on various lead & technical consulting roles. He has been involved developing India's first electric motorcycle named Revolt RV400 by Revolt Motors during early years of his career. Extensively worked in key electrification including powertrain system design & Development, HV Battery pack design & development, Testing & Validation, Integration for global market including EU, USA and Southeast Asia, India.

Dr Razman Azrai bin Datuk Zainudin, Regional Business Director APAC, SICPA Product Security Sdn Bhd


Dr Razman Azrai bin Datuk Zainudin is Regional Business Director APAC, SICPA Product Security Sdn Bhd. Having 30 years of working experiences, he has a PhD from Swiss School of Management, Switzerland, MBA from Staffordshire University, UK and Bachelor of Science from University of Rhode Island, USA. He is a Harvard Associate Kaplan Norton BSC certified.

Razman is passionate on brand protection and has dealt with companies from the oil and gas, automotive to cosmetics and supplement industry. He has been with SICPA for 9 years. Prior to this, he served as Vice President Strategy CyberSecurity Malaysia and in various Government linked companies and private sectors. He was the pioneer that built Malaysia’s first broadband Streamyx. 

Mr Wan Ahmad Zam Zam, President, Malaysia Zero Emission Vehicle Association (MyZEVA)


Wan Ahmad Zam Zam possess more than 25 years of fulfilling operation and management career in Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB). He started his career at a sustainable generation plant i.e. the hydro power plant. He later on was active in the transformation projects and managing the business performance within the organization.

In his latest role, he is the leading of the Electric Vehicles’ Program Management Office by ensuring deliverable of the project according to the timeline, synchronize all the program’s activities thru unified and consistent view of the program.

He graduated from Portsmouth University, UK in Engineering.

He is currently the president of Malaysia Zero Emission Vehicle Association (MyZEVA). He believes that EV can not only reduce the carbon emission but reboot the economic growth of the country.
