Comprehensive showcases and fringe activities align with automotive development, energy transition, and popular culture at Automechanika Kuala Lumpur 2025

24 Apr 2025

Automechanika Kuala Lumpur 2025, taking place from 15 to 17 May, hosts a diverse array of events through its fringe programme. Over the course of three days, more than 30 experts will present the latest trends in automotive mobility and logistics through conference sessions and interactive workshops. The exhibition, which has expanded from last year to span Hall 1 to Hall 6 of the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, acts as a bridge between the Malaysian and global markets, providing an interactive, engaging, and productive meeting place for industry stakeholders. The concurrent events complement the dynamic nature of the show by facilitating discussions with representatives from world leading companies, hands-on demonstrations from automotive experts, and engaging activities that celebrate a variety of subcultures and lifestyle trends.

“The strength and international presence of the Automechanika brand means that we can attract speakers and participants from the world’s most advanced training centres, aftermarket service providers, OEMs, and more. This standing and level of knowledge elevate the fringe programme at Automechanika Kuala Lumpur into a premier gathering for sector leaders. As they converge in Malaysia for the three days, the show creates an environment that encourages business exchange, industry insights, and exciting entertainment, resulting in an all-encompassing platform for the entire value chain and the wider automotive market,” stated Ms Fiona Chiew, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd.

The Automotive Mobility Solutions Zone exemplifies this breadth by highlighting an extensive array of topics relating to the latest technologies emerging from electrification, digitalisation, AI, and cloud computing, all aimed at fostering an advanced and sustainable future. A key fringe event returns for its second year here, in the form of the Automotive Mobility Solutions Conference. During its discussions, themes such as energy transition, sustainability, digitalisation, logistics, supply chain management, talent development, and more will be explored by speakers from the following firms, among others:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Influential cloud computing service provider will explore how AI technologies are driving the development of self-driving cars and improving road safety.
  • Auto Data Technology Sdn Bhd
This automotive IoT analytics company centred around mobility technology will present their centralised dealer management system and solutions for streamlined automotive operations.
  • BOSCH
As a global market leader, BOSCH will provide insights on smart manufacturing, focusing on the role of data analytics and Industry 4.0 in ASEAN’s automotive sector.

  • Proton
Malaysia’s largest auto manufacturer will offer perspectives on accelerating the mobility sector in ASEAN through NEV solutions for sustainable urban growth.
  • Volvo Malaysia Sdn Bhd
Commercial vehicle pioneers will delve into digitalisation and connected vehicle technologies in this field.

The learning experiences continue at the Collision Repair Training Workshop, which will cover both internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle types and new energy vehicles (NEVs) through applied learning activities. Representatives from Launch, a frontrunner in automotive diagnostic technology, and ESnet Academy, an educational institution focusing on EV related topics and disciplines, will join other key players from Malaysia, China, and beyond as workshop leaders. Together, these experts will provide attendees with practical insights into diagnostics and maintenance for ICE and NEVs, ADAS, paintwork, workshop management, and safer, smarter and greener repair methods.

Engaging young audiences and car enthusiasts for a thriving future
Returning to enrich the show’s unique and entertaining atmosphere, autoFEST@KL promises to be a space where participants can relax, network, compete against others, and celebrate automotive subcultures.

This vibrant environment is particularly appealing as young Malaysians and car enthusiasts seek accessories and customisations that reflect their lifestyles and personal identities, which are shaped by online trends. Through the offerings at autoFEST@KL, Automechanika Kuala Lumpur meets the desires of end users while providing a gateway for them to understand more about the industry and connect with fellow participants.
